GROUP REVISION INTENSIVE, FINISHING THE DRAFT

workshopping and activating the text through embodied group work

A small group, generation-based workshop to help writers and creators unlock full-length projects (novels, plays), with a focus on finishing the draft & endings. We will be discovering a revision process that is led by/shaped by the content of the work (i.e. any book is also the story of how it was written). We will work through both group workshops of manuscripts and 1:1 feedback on the revision process.

Over the course of ten days, there will be individual feedback on early drafts, then through a dramaturgical lens, tailormade theatre-derived exercises to generate new writing, with a particular focus on endings. The work will follow and encourage what is most alive and will help you bring a first draft of a project through to completion (perhaps in a different way than planned!). The goal is to unlock the potential of a narrative piece in an embodied, rather than overly intellectual/planned way.
